Dear APT developers, I like to check whether you plan to keep the dependency of apt on gnupg. Some background: I plan to add support for encrypted report in popularity-contest. Since apt depends on gnupg, it is safe to assume that gnupg is available on almost all Debian systems, so popularity-contest using gnupg will not require users to install extra packages and will not disrupt the statistics.
