Bug#588610: apt: does not compile on my setup

Hi valette!

2010/7/10 valette<eric.valette@free.fr>:
As package was not copiled for amd64 arch I tried to compile it myself.
I found an error related to constness of va_list type in error.cc

Thanks for testing and the patch& sorry for the inconvenience.

BTW: the -t experimental works again => thanks for fixing this one.

I currently have no amd64 (or other failing archs) available -
only i386 and armel who built it without problems… :/

I suspect this has nothing to do with arch but rather to libc/g++ version (or both if libc headers are different depending on arch)

libc6/dev: 2.11.2-2
gcc version 4.4.4 (Debian 4.4.4-6)

I prefer not to use forced type converting if possible and as the
methods are new and private nobody will miss the const anyway.

What do you think and could you maybe try the attached patch?

If time permit yes.
