Re: APT Protocol
Hi André Martins,
first: this is a mailing list, not a chat, so please don't expect
an immediate response. The team is already to small to answer
all mails from the BTS so it is deferentially unable to answer
in no-time. Patience is a key competence here. :)

The source code is available, so best is to read the source.
The part you should look at is the Acquire-group. Maybe generate
the source code documentation with doxygen for apt.
Maybe looking at the source of some applications using the
libapt-pkg library is also a good idea (e.g. apt-get).
Sry, i can't be more specific as your question is a bit to generic
to be answered in detail.

As every other mailinglist on debian infrastructure you can find
a complete archive of the list at lists.debian.org - for your deity
mailing you can look at http://lists.debian.org/deity/ .
(including nearly 12 years of history - have fun :) )
