apt-ftparchive : Separate index files for each architectures

Hello,

How to make a separate index files for each architectures (i386, amd64, ...) ?

With the following command :
apt-ftparchive packages pool | gzip > Packages.gz

It create a Packages.gz file with all the packages architectures.
Is there something similar to the "dpkg-scanpackages -a" command  ?
