Package: apt Version: 0.5.4 Severity: wishlist It is nice if "apt-cache showpkg" or some other command shows information on build dependency. For example, "apt-cache showpkg debhelper" will show packages which build-depend on debhelper (say, Reverse Build-Depends:), not only packages which depend on debhelper (Reverse Depends:).

Hello. Build-Depends is part of source package, 'apt-cache show' command work with binary packages. What you want is 'apt-cache showsrc' command. -- Eugene V.
