Thanks but I delve no deeper than apt-get install 'new versions of things from sid'
because I am ~50 years old and forgot my shoes somewhere recently etc.

All I know is I hadn't connected the FreeRunner for seven days so it
got the maximum number of pdiffs... after a while the CPU meter was
all red and the machine had to be hard-powered off. Not something one
wishes to reproduce or will manage to get logs from. Thanks. Bye.
