Package: apt
Version: 0.7.8
Severity: wishlist
If I run 'apt-cdrom init' and the CD is not mounted before running the
command, the CD will be left mounted after the identification is
complete.
This is inconsistent with the way 'apt-cdrom add' works and even with how
apt works when installing packages from CD: in both cases the CD is left
unmounted.
However, I can also see that it is not desirable to have a CD unmounted
by 'apt-cdrom ident' if it _was_ mounted before.
My suggestion would be to test if the CD is already mounted at the
beginning and to unmount the CD before exiting only if it was not
mounted before.
Cheers,
FJP
