Bug#437445: aptitude: Same here

Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.5.4-1
Followup-For: Bug #437445

Hi.

FWIW I experienced the same issue, having aptitude pending on CR after install in another terminal, if I launch another aptitude, I get :

# aptitude install screen
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Segmentation fault

and stracing -f it finishes with :

open("/var/lock/aptitude", O_RDWR|O_CREAT|O_TRUNC, 0640) = 4
fcntl64(4, F_SETFD, FD_CLOEXEC)         = 0
fcntl64(4, F_SETLK, {type=F_WRLCK, whence=SEEK_SET, start=0, len=0}) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)
close(4)                                = 0
--- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) ---
+++ killed by SIGSEGV +++
Process 14780 detached

Hope this helps,
