It's been more than 3 years and no sign of this patch being applied to apt. Since there seems to be a dispute about the redirect feature, can we at least create a patch just for the interactive authentication and apply that? I need interactive authentication and I can work on this if you tell me if a patch of this feature alone would be applied. Cheers.
