A question about man page of apt_preferences
Hi all
I found the following in man page of apt_preferences.
What do you mean in "other Debian distributions." ?
I think you just give a low priority to package versions from all
Debian distributions whose original line is Debian.
Is it right?
I'm fresh to debian now.
Thanks!
The following APT preferences file will cause APT to assign a high
priority to package versions from the testing distribution, a
lesser priority to package versions from the unstable distribution,
and a prohibitively low priority to package versions from other Debian
distributions.
Package: *
Pin: release a=testing
Pin-Priority: 900
Package: *
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 800
Package: *
Pin: release o=Debian
Pin-Priority: -10
