Bug#352847: apt: [apt-get] Add option --url DEB-URL to temporarily use more sources
Package: apt
Version: 0.6.43.2
Severity: wishlist
Many people have personal Debian archive setup. It would be nice if
the entries in sources.list need not always be edited before using apt.
SUGGESTION
Add new option (that can be used multiple times), to temporarily
add new URLs in addition to those in sources.list. The option could
be repeated multiple times to add more to the "current set of sources
during operation"
apt-get --url="http://.. unstable main" [--url=...] <command>
