Status of l10n?

At the end of this mail is the status of l10n in my branch (which, for
the code, is a sync with Matt's apt--main branch...last sync was made
about 2 weeks ago).

In my branch, the POT file was regenerated from the code just after
syncing with Matt, so these PO's are currently up-to-date with Matt's
branch.

However, a lot of work is made in Michael Voigt branch. So am I sure
that I actually have the latest code....and thus that my PO's are
really up-to-date?

If Michael decides to incorporate more contributions which change the
internationalised strings, then translations will be broken again.

Is it possible, for the development ot APT in etch, that "string
freezes" happen before releases, with a delay of 7-10 days, to allow
me (or someone else in the future) to have a good reference repository
to sync with, send calls for translation updates, commit them to my
branch...and then have the reference repository synced with me just
before the final build?

This would need to:

-agree on this..:-)
-define what is the reference repository (still Matt's apt--main?)
-just do it..:-)

Sorry to bother you all again with that, but, actually, distributed
development is not really easy to handle for translators...:-)
