Bug#236146: apt: requires that deps are explicitely specified to get installed
I removed the empty preferences file, and trimmed sources.list to:
deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian sid main contrib non-free
Same results.
However (off-topic ?), I notice that "apt-get update" keeps fetching the
Packages file, even though after one update it should be obviously uptodate.
At least, after ftp.d.o gets updated with today's run, I at least get the
correct behaviour for "update", which notices at last that my Packages is
uptodate.
But that does not change the core problem...
