Bug#217152: apt: [i18n] confirmation prompt does not work with locales!=C
Package: apt
Version: 0.5.14
Severity: normal
Tags: sid
When you remove essential packages, a prompt asks you to type:
You are about to do something potentially harmful
To continue type in the phrase 'Yes, do as I say!'
When I use french localization: I get the following:
Vous êtes sur le point de faire quelque chose de potentiellement dangereux
Pour continuer, tapez la phrase « Oui, faites ce que je vous dis ! »
If I type exactly "Oui, faites ce que je vous dis !" (taken from fr.po),
apt aborts. However, when I unset LC_ALL and LANG, and I type the english
response, all is ok.
I also tried to type "Yes, do as I say!" with the french prompt, but it does
not work either.
