Bug#195018: apt-get update exits with Error 'Dynamic MMap ran out of room' after package download.

thanks

(Why are the others closed? The issue isn't gone AFAIK, just worked around
by a larger default value, and they're still there in stable/testing.[1])

Woody == stable. It makes little sense to have both of these, doesn't it?
Also, when one uses testing or unstable it's better to change the security
line to read "testing/updates".

It also makes little sense to have both stable & unstable in sources.list,
doesn't it? Unless you use package pinning perhaps; the fact that your apt
is still 0.5.4 indicates you might.

Well, yes. :)

Change APT::Cache-Limit (man apt.conf) to 12582912 or some other value in
a similar range to keep them all. Or upgrade apt to 0.5.5.1. (caveat
emptor, it may be buggy)

[1] Hmm, I just realized - this could also become a problem if the testing
Packages file becomes too big before we release and people update from
current stable (woody) to new stable (sarge) _when_ we release.
