Bug#192216: misleading description of search in apt-cache's manpage
Package: apt
Version: 0.5.4
Severity: minor
While discussions with newbie user, I found a missleading sentence in
apt-cache(8):
search search performs a full text search on all available
package files for the regex pattern given.
This can be easily understood as "on all available files of the
package". Better say:
search: search performs a full text search on all available "Packages"
files for the regex pattern given (but only package name and
description).
