Bug#207690: apt: Russian translation is unusable
Package: apt
Version: 0.5.9
Severity: normal
Hello.
My mothertongue is Russian so I use Russian locale on my computer. I ask to
remove russian translation of messages for apt as in many places it is not
possible to understand them. Translation is *extremely* bad and in many places
it is not possible to understand what message means.
Please notice, that it is not 'minor' bug, it's not about spelling mistakes.
It's about messages I cannot understand at all. (Yes, they contain multiple
orfographic and punctuation mistakes as well.)
Thanks.
P.S. Example.
English message: Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely
likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
Translation of 'translated' message back to English: As you requested the only
operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and
bug report reports that the packet will be finished.
I'm not sure in "finished" as I cannot understand what "translator" meant.
Another version is 'the packet will be led to'.
