I have implemented simple browsing of available source versions like this:

import apt_pkg

sources = apt_pkg.GetPkgSrcRecords()
while sources.Lookup('hello'):
        print sources.Package, sources.Version, sources.Maintainer, sources.Section, `sources.Binaries`

but this is not in CVS yet.
