"Release" files: does "NotAutomatic: yes" mean I need no "Pin" for eg. "release a=experimental"?

 For the following "sources.list" lines:

8<----------------------------------------------------------------->8
deb     http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ project/experimental/main/binary-$(ARCH)/
deb     http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ project/experimental/contrib/binary-$(ARCH)/
deb     http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ project/experimental/non-free/binary-$(ARCH)/
deb-src http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ project/experimental/main/source/
deb-src http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ project/experimental/contrib/source/
deb-src http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ project/experimental/non-free/source/
8<----------------------------------------------------------------->8

 Do I not need:

8<----------------------------------------------------------------->8
Package: *
Pin: release a=experimental
Pin-Priority: 400
8<----------------------------------------------------------------->8

 ... to keep those from getting automaticly selected, since the
 "Release" file there says "NotAutomatic: yes"?
