Package: apt
Version: 0.5.4
Severity: normal

linex:/home/eric# apt-get install libcamel0

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
libgnome-vfs0: Depends: libgnome-vfs-common but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

Why doesn't apt pulls libgnome-vfs-common in when it is in fact available ?

linex:/home/eric# apt-get install libcamel0 libgnome-vfs-common
Reading Package Lists... Done

The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libcamel0 libgnome-vfs-common
0 packages upgraded, 2 newly installed, 0 to remove and 114 not upgraded.
34 packages not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B/736kB of archives. After unpacking 2056kB will be used.

I think the user shouldn't have to manually apt-get a dependency.

If you don't follow the advice then you must put in an exact and complete
list of packages to correct your broken system.
