hi there, i just upgraded sendmail and apt asked me whether to installa new version of /etc/ppp/ip-up.d/sendmail. now i deleted the old file, and when apt asked me, i went for "D" to see the diff. the diff shown however was empty, rather then containing all of the contents of the new file to be installed, which is misleading. it looks like your missing the --new-file option when invoking diff from apt. --- ciaoTJ
