Bug#106712: apt: internal error when trying to upgrade current libsdl1.2-whatever
Package: apt
Version: 0.5.3
Severity: normal
Hi!
I got the following nice error when trying to upgrade libsdl:
8:root@iluvatar: ~] apt-get -u upgrade
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Note, a broken or group was found in libsdl1.2.
Note, a broken or group was found in libsdl1.2.
The following packages have been kept back
libsdl1.2 libsdl1.2-dev locales
The following packages will be upgraded
libsdl1.2-all
1 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 3 not upgraded.
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
libsdl1.2: Depends: libsdl1.2-all (= 1.2.1-3) but 1.2.2-1 is to be installed or
libsdl1.2-oss (= 1.2.1-3) but it is not going to be installed or
libsdl1.2-esd (= 1.2.1-3) but it is not going to be installed or
libsdl1.2-arts (= 1.2.1-3) but it is not going to be installed
E: Internal Error, InstallPackages was called with broken packages!
According to some people, removing libsdl1.2-dev, doing the upgrade,
and then reinstalling it, is a workaround.
I'm building apt from CVS, and will test it with that one too (maybe I
can get a backtrace too)
If you need more information, feel free to kick it out of me.
Cheers,
