Bug#79277: Duplicated download, two packages with same source fetches twice

Package: apt
Severity: normal
Version: 0.3.19
Synopsis: Duplicated download, two packages with same source fetches twice
Class: sw-bug

Distribution: Debian woody
System: Linux 2.4.0-test11 i586 unknown

Description:
I just heard about "listar", went to their site to read about it, and
saw a NEWS there about a Debian package having been created of it. I
ran an "apt-cache search listar", and it turned up "listar" and
"listar-cgi".

I then ran:

apt-get source listar{,-cgi}

... and it downloaded the "listar" source package twice then unpacked it
twice. Both packages share the same source package and "apt-get" didn't
know enough to check for that.
Will you please teach it to? TIA.
