Bug#76994: apt: print IP address too
Package: apt
Version: 0.3.19
Severity: wishlist
One of the debian mirrors (maybe more than one) is consistently a poor
performer for me; I get big delays and such when the spinner on http.us.debian.org
hits it.
But I can't tell which mirror is the problem, because apt doesn't make that information
available in a convenient way.
So my feature request is for the apt output for downloading (in apt-get update,
upgrade, source, and whatever else) would print the actual IP address as
well as the host name. (Just as do telnet and ping, for example.)
