Thanks for the quick reply. I don't understand, though. The latest
version of apt on master.debian.org is 0.3.19, which is dated in May:
vanzandt-pc:~/ftp$ ssh master.debian.org ls -l
/home/Debian/ftp/debian/dists/unstable/main/binary-i386/base/apt_0.3.19.deb
jrv@master.debian.org's password:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 archvsyn archvsyn 55 Jun 5 21:24
/home/Debian/ftp/debian/dists/unstable/main/binary-i386/base/apt_0.3.19.deb
-> ../../../../potato/main/binary-i386/base/apt_0.3.19.deb
vanzandt-pc:~/ftp$ ssh master.debian.org ls -l
/home/Debian/ftp/debian/dists/stable/main/binary-i386/base/apt_0.3.19.deb
jrv@master.debian.org's password:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 archvsyn archvsyn 483006 May 24 06:53
/home/Debian/ftp/debian/dists/stable/main/binary-i386/base/apt_0.3.19.deb
It still exhibits the problem:
vanzandt-pc:/var/cache/apt/archives# apt-get install rpm

I don't see anything newer in the incoming directory on ftp-master, either.
