Sorry, this doesn't work. When potato is released slink goes away, a URL
pointing to it will still have to be updated manually by the user.

It isn't like it isn't hugely evident that stable has changed from slink
to potato. All the user needs to do is point it at the archive site
instead. 

Ditto goes for non-us and bug 57146.
