I was amazed to find the following:

root@d07-5201-bp:~# apt-get install icewm-gnome
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:

root@d07-5201-bp:~# apt-get install libgnome31
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
  libgnome31: Depends: gnome-bin but it is not installed

root@d07-5201-bp:~# apt-get install gnome-bin
Sorry, gnome-bin is already the newest version

I don't quite see how this can have happened.
