I do have some clients on a server (both Debian) and want to reuse the /var/cache/apt/archives cache directroy. Works fine for me, although only one client is allowed to use this directory. But the Package.gz files are reloaded over a (slow) connection again for each client. Is there a possibility to cache these files as well?
