Bug#38139: [minor issue] Is this a bug or a feature?

Package: apt
Version: CVS as of May 22nd 1999

Hi Jason,

I am just updating my slink system to potato after resolving the
problems with a test system. I used apt-get to generate the list of
packages to download and did the download in university.

As the packages did not fit on a single ZIP I made 2 of it - but how
to run apt on that? I decided to use the cdrom method. I made a
directory dists/unstable on each disc, generated a Packages file and
wrote an entry info .disk/info. But on the second disk this did not
work...

By looking into the sources I noticed that FindPackages in
apt-cdrom.cc returns immediately after finding a Packages file. This
was my error - I had a Packages file in the root of the filesystem.
Normally this should not happen but I think this is a (very small) bug
anyway. FindPackages should look for a .disk directory first.

If you have a different opinion feel free to close this bug.
