Bug#25023: apt: weird behaviour with ftp method
Package: apt
Version: 0.1.3
When connecting to ftp.jimpick.com (see the sources.list below)
It seems to get stuck in a state indicated by this (rather unhelpful) message:
87% [Packages `' 0] 54.7k/s 8s
Eventually it times out and prints these errors:
ERROR ftp://ftp.jimpick.com/pub/debian-non-US/hamm/binary-i386/Packages.gz
421 No Transfer Timeout (300 seconds): closing control connection.
ERROR ftp://ftp.jimpick.com/pub/debian-non-US/slink/binary-i386/Packages.gz
421 No Transfer Timeout (300 seconds): closing control connection.
It turns out the file below is erroneous. The path should have been
/pub/mirrors/debian-non-US. So I suspect apt ignored a file not found error and
then just sat at the prompt until ftp.jimpick.com closed the connection.
