Suggestion: apt-network

Would it be useful to have some way for apt machines to
communicate? For example, a method in sources.list giving the
address of some other Debian machine, so when my apt wants to
fetch some package, it first queries all other Debian machines
on the local net if someone already got that one in their caches?

deb: ...
apt: 192.168.0.1
apt: 192.168.0.16
...
