Bug#848263: screen doesn't lock when laptop lid closed
Package: xfce4
Version: 4.20
Followup-For: Bug #848263
X-Debbugs-Cc: cardboardaardvark@gmail.com
Dear Maintainer,
I am also encountering this issue with Trixie while it is still testing. I'm
surprised to see that this bug has existed for so long and is unresolved. I
suggest reconsidering the severity of this issue as not having the screen lock
when the laptop lid is closed is not only quite unexpected behavior but also a
large security concern.
Any user would expect that the device becomes locked when the lid is closed and
failure to do so could lead to a rather severe security incident if a user
walks away from the machine unaware that the screen did not lock.
