Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

Hello,

Since some time I've found that the "Clear" menu entry in the recent used
documents on the XFCE places item of the panel doesn't produce any effect.

I've also tried with another user on the same machine and the problem is the
same.

I've also tried to manually delete the file and let the system create it, and
the problem is the same.

I've also tried with another desktop environment (MATE) and it is possible to
clear the recently used documents.

So I think that the problem is related to the XFCE desktop environment.

I don't remember which version has introduced the bug, but it used to work
until some time ago.

Thanks for your attention.
