If I move out those 3 .dri files from /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri - what you have mentioned in the other bug report - would that make it work? Did that fix the issue for you? GPU acceleration is not available for me as the firmware cannot be loaded for the GPU and the whole system relies on swrast_dri.so, so what would it use then to render anything?
In my test VM the graphical environment got shown, I could at least start a minimal not-GPU-accelerated environment. To get the definitive information, which instruction did not work at you system, you might look into your those files: /var/log/Xorg.0.log /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old If there is a line like "[ 8.001] (EE) Backtrace:" you could probably attach that file to this report. If there is not, your Xorg is maybe working as expected and the problem is maybe a layer above. Kind regards, Bernhard
