Bug#1016762: xfce4-power-manager-plugins: Display brightness does not work, either with the applet or the function keys (regresion)

Package: xfce4-power-manager-plugins
Version: 4.16.0-1
Severity: important
X-Debbugs-Cc: cquike@arcor.de

I have been using XFCE4 since quite a while and I have realied recently that
the slider with the display brightness in the xfce4 power applet has no effect
at all. Likewise, if I press the function keys in the keyboard which set the
display brightness nothing happens. This has been working for sure in previous
versions, so this must be some regression after some upgrades in bookworm.
