Bug#988980: xfce4-mailwatch-plugin: memory leak with POP3

Package: xfce4-mailwatch-plugin
Version: 1.3.0-1
Severity: normal

I am using xfce4-mailwatch-plugin to check 3 POP3 mailboxes once per minute.
Here the output of 'ps -eo vsz, rsz, comm | grep mail' at three different times:

3942760 59948 panel-7-mailwat
3942760 59988 panel-7-mailwat
3967348 60028 panel-7-mailwat

Because I am not performing regular shutdowns/logouts this is a real problem.
After some days mailwatch has allocated more than 1GB resident memory!
