thunar gtk3 deb buster

Hello! I would like to ask why thunar on gtk 3? xfce 4.12 on gtk 2. Why use thunar 1.8 and not 1.6?Such a mismatch of graphic tulkits is very striking. it's like to use in plasma 4 dolphin 5. thanks!
