Hi Gerhard, sorry for the delay, somehow the bug was never sent to our mailing
list.

verve-focus has indeed been dropped from the package following the GTK3
rewrite. Here are the upstream developer words from the release mail:

verve-focus has been dropped, because I don't have the knowledge or time
necessary to maintain it. If you can get it working, let me know.
- ----

If it's really useful for you, I can forward the bug on the Xfce bugzilla to
let the developer know there are end-users missing the feature, but unless
you're able to provide a patch there's not much to be done.

I'm not quite sure what your issue is with xfce4-goodies dependencies so feel
free to elaborate on that.
