Hi,

yes, youtube-dl create/delete/changes the files in real time so the thumbnail
are always outdated and tumbler (the Thunar thumbnailers) tries to regenerate
them. Since it's done in the same process, it's not always really responsive.
But I tried with Thunar 1.8 and it's definitely responsive, even after a few
minutes.

If it really doesn't work for you, then I guess just don't open a Thunar
window in that folder during the download.

In any case, that's not something we'll fix in Debian, so if it's really
unbearable for you, please port that upstream.

Regards,
