After some tests, the bug is due to systemd, which was installed
due to some new GNOME dependency (gnome-control-center specifically,
in order to setup the sound volume, via gnome-settings-daemon,
otherwise I don't use GNOME). In my test, if I remove everything
except systemd, the bug still occurs, and if I remove systemd as
well, then the bug no longer occurs.
