OK, I was somewhat expecting this. Without any experiences with freezing
policy I wasn't just sure.

I am planning to use Wheezy in my desktop and I will use 4.10
backported anyway, so no tragedy for me.

Just to the six patches: The last 2 are not important and from the
first four, I think, the
0004-Properly-set-padding-and-border-width.patch is most important, as
it fixes issues that cannot be worked around. Issues triggered by
panel orientation change can be manually fixed by restarting the panel
and the context menu is hopefully always accessible by right-clicking on
plugin border or via the panel properties.
