this was a well known bughttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/821170
I've attached a patch downloaded from ubuntu source package. after applying this patch to xfce4-power-manager=1.0.10-4 from debian wheezy all works perfect.
Please add this patch to the official repository.
