Hard to tell, since in the meantime I switched to LXDE[1] and this was 2
years ago. I did a quick test and the battery was reported as full, but
judging from my subject line I think the problem was intermitent.
I would suggest you just close the bug now.
[1] if you're wondering, for me LXDE is already enough, I would probably
get away with only a WM, but my mom uses it as well and I have to be
able to guide her ;)
