[Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#646981: panel.xml and log file

Please find the requested debug information attached. These particular
files come from the 4th person at my office to get his by this bug. I've
personally fallen back to the panel version packaged for squeeze until
this all gets sorted out so it is harder for me to pull information from
my own system.

Of note, the panel launched with "PANEL_DEBUG=1 xfce4-panel &>
~/panelstartup.log" didn't actually crash as the log indicates, we
xkill-ed it. If another termination procedure would produce better log
info, we can re-run on one of the other effected machines.

For others interested in using the squeeze version of xfce4-panel as a
workaround for this bug, first add a squeeze sources line to your
/etc/apt/sources.list file, then run:
"apt-get install xfce4-panel=4.6.4-1 orage=4.6.1-1+b1
xfce4-mixer=4.6.1-2+b1"
and finally, put a file with these contents into your
/etc/apt/preferences.d/ directory

---
Package: xfce4-panel
Pin: version 4.6.4-1
Pin-Priority: 1001

Package: orage
Pin: version 4.6.1-1+b1
Pin-Priority: 1001

Package: xfce4-mixer
Pin: version 4.6.1-2+b1
Pin-Priority: 1001
---
If you are not using either the volume mixer or the orange calendar, you
can also just let them be uninstalled without manually installing the
older versions or mentioning them in the Debian preferences file.

That will return you to a version of the panel that can successfully
read your existing panel configuration file, though you will lose some
packages in the rollback, most notably the xfce4 meta package.
