[Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#647749: Interim fix proposed in the upstream bug report

As it was already mentioned here and also in the upstream bug report, I
understand that the ideal solution would be to switch providers. But
unfortunately that's something that probably won't happen in the short
term.

In the upstream report it was suggested that the license key from ctw (an
open source weather client currently unmaintained) could be used instead
of the current one as an interim fix (see
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8105#c9).

Since I'm not a DD, I don't know how many person-hours it would take to
apply this trivial patch and upload an updated package to the repository.
Therefore I can't tell whether the effort would be worth it or not.

However, if this workaround could prevent having another broken or missing
piece in Xfce, then maybe it's worth it, even if it's just a temporary fix
and not a solution to the underlying issue.

Best regards,
