Sorry about the long delay, but for me this bug is resolved. I'm using lightdm
at the moment without problem and gdm works as well. As far as slim goes I'm
not sure, I gave it up in favor of lightdm.
I still have issues with xfce4-session spawning four instances of xfdesktop but
I will file another bug report for that.
