Just a guess: something with the mouse driver is wrong which results in
every click being done twice. This way it is impossible to move the
window by title bar.

One solution for this is to specify the option "CorePointer" in the
device section of your mouse in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

This could also explain the behavior mentioned in bug #530911.
