Then it should refuse to add video files to the playlist, instead of crashing.
And due to the linear-interpolation based resampling of sound (the remains of
http://bugs.debian.org/396881), I must say that anything xine-based is not
suitable for high-quality audio playback with a typical ALSA setup, either. So,
please find another player. For myself, I have installed VLC.
