Package: xfce4
Version: 4.3.90.1-2
Severity: wishlist
I just upgraded to 4.3.90.1 (Xfce 4.4 BETA1) and noticed that some of
my keyboard shortcuts quit working. I looked at Xfce Settings Manager
-> Windows Manager -> Keyboard, my profile was still intact after the
upgrade and my keybindings for "Alt-F1" and "Alt-F2" were there, and
there was no conflicting command with the same keybindings.
However, "Alt-F1/F2" reverted to default Xfce behavior, Xfce help and
run command, respectively. I took me quite some time to discover Xfce
Settings Manager -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts. In there there is a
"Default" shortcut profile that seems to have precedence over the
Windows manger keyboard shortcuts.
So, my wish list item for upstream would be to merge these into a
single keyboard shortcuts. If that is not possible then at least on
upgrade, if a new default shortcut exists make sure that it's not
clobbering an existing previously defined and working shortcut defined
by the user.
Thanks,
Troy
