No, I just wasn't sure why goodies use cdbs and most others don't and to see
if there's an agreed upon method as long as these packages are
co-maintained.

And to see if there's a preference for a particular method. I am about to
upload
the xfce4-taskmanager debian/ dir and I used CDBS as it seemed clearer than
the dh_made rules file we now have in ubuntu.
